It’s been a great year for Teton Valley Community Recycling, from our many successful projects and partnerships to a strong board to our many supporters who all believe that it is important to reduce waste in Teton Valley.
As we close out the year and celebrate this holiday season, we’re hoping you will continue supporting the great work TVCR is able to do on your behalf. This year, our Board of Directors has offered a $1500 match for all year-end donations received in November and December. Help us meet this match on Giving Tuesday or any time in December through our Facebook page or our website.

Hello Friends,
Thanks to your enthusiasm for the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rethink Waste initiatives in our community, Teton Valley Community Recycling is making solid progress towards helping our county produce less waste and recycle more effectively!
TVCR has helped increase Teton County’s recycling profits. For example, aluminum cans and scrap metal are the county’s biggest recycling moneymakers. Over the past three years, TVCR has increased the potential for metal recovery by securing grants to purchase a tire rim remover and an industrial magnet for the transfer station.
And how about convenient curbside recycling?! Thanks to your input, TVCR was instrumental in ensuring access to curbside service. Teton County policy now requires waste haulers to provide curbside recycling options!
With your support in 2018, TVCR celebrated success on several fronts:
* Victor City Parks now have public recycling receptacles, thanks to grants obtained by TVCR.
* The Mobile Hydration Station and free sanitized water bottles were introduced for use at local events like Music on Main and Tin Cup. It is also available for free public rental.
* Hard to recycle waste, such as batteries, foil bar wrappers, cereal bags, and dental waste are now recyclable at the Geo Center through to our TerraCycle initiative.
* And . . . drum roll please! TVCR has just secured a $25,000 grant from the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality to improve Construction and Demolition waste diversion! (Read more about this in our November e-newsletter.)
Initiatives like these happen thanks to commitment from people like you. We are grateful to have such dedicated supporters who want to move towards a future of less waste.
TVCR Board Members have generously offered a $1500 matching fund for our Year End Campaign. We’d like to raise $3000 with the goal of increasing our capacity to run more innovative programs in 2019. We’re reaching out to you as a past supporter who has shown interest in our work to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rethink.
Would you be willing to contribute $25, $50 or even $100 to help us meet the match? Your contribution will impact our community’s direction in a lasting way through innovative programs and outreach.
Please join us by making your gift today. Use our online donation form, or make your check out to Teton Valley Community Recycling and mail to TVCR, PO Box 1193, Driggs, ID 83422. Please feel free to contact us at (206) 484-7354 if you have any questions.
