Teton Valley Community Recycling (TVCR) is excited to announce a change in leadership as Angela Saggiomo, who has passionately led the organization, is stepping away due to personal commitments. We are grateful for Angela’s dedication and are pleased to introduce Kelley Romines as our Interim Executive Director.
After serving as the Executive Director of TVCR for almost two years, Angela has decided to step down to prioritize her personal life and other commitments. Under her leadership, TVCR has achieved significant milestones, including the expansion of the Bags to Benches program to the County level. Her tireless efforts have strengthened our mission to promote sustainability and waste reduction awareness in our local community.
“While I am sad to be stepping away from my role at TVCR, I am confident that Kelley will be an amazing and dedicated Interim Executive Director,” said Saggiomo. “I look forward to working closely with her over the next few weeks to ensure a smooth transition.”
Stepping in as Interim Executive Director, Kelley Romines, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to TVCR. Romines has been an active member of the board for over a year and has a deep understanding of the organization’s goals and operations. Her passion for local nonprofit work is evident through her many volunteer positions across multiple organizations and Romines is ready to take the helm of TVCR through this transition period.
“I am honored to serve as TVCR’s Interim Executive Director during this transition,” said Romines. “I look forward to working closely with our dedicated board and staff to continue advancing our mission and building upon the strong foundation laid over the last 26 years of the organization.”
Former Executive Director and current TVCR County Liaison, Iris Saxer, will also be pivotal in ensuring a smooth transition for Romines and the entire Board. Her historical knowledge of the organization and deep commitment to working with both Rad Curbside and Teton County to pursue waste reduction and diversion efforts will continue without interruption.
TVCR remains committed to its mission of promoting recycling, waste reduction, and sustainability practices in the Teton Valley community. The organization will continue to provide vital recycling services, educational programs, and community engagement initiatives under Romines’ capable leadership.
