Check this out: This year’s Tin Cup event produced only 4 full cans of trash, 2 full cans of compost (and yes, they are going to compost all of those paper plates and napkins in the school gardens), and the rest was recycled!
Think about that…. more than 800 people eating, racing, celebrating for 3+ hours… and just 4 trash cans! Awesome! This is less than half the trash produced at Tin Cup 2017!
Nice job cutting way down on packaging waste through great purchasing choices and diligent waste management, Community Foundation of Teton Valley and thank you for handling all of the composting Full Circle Education and of course, thanks to the community for being willing to reduce and rethink event waste. What a fantastic event! Next year, let’s tackle disposable coffee cups!
