The Teton Valley Earth Day Fair was a huge success in its first year with over 300 visitors to booths focused on wildlife conservation, water resources, reuse & recycling, and sustainability.
TVCR was pleased to have so many organizations participating in this awareness raiser and community celebration. We particularly enjoyed partnering with the Teton Regional Land Trust and Full Circle Education to make it happen. The Wildwood Room is always an amazing place for non-profit functions and Bill Boney and his crew did it right by using locally sourced food to serve up some delicious meals. Stacey Walker Oldham donated her illustration skills to making the beautiful event poster.Silver Star Communications and the Bank of Commerce stepped in to be the financial sponsors of this event allowing the community to come and enjoy it for free. Thank you to all of you. We couldn’t have done it without your generosity. And we also want to extend a huge thank you to our many event volunteers: Caroline Herter, Emily Selleck, Sue Miller, Deb Grove, Heather McLendon, Hilary Ordonez, Lynn Sandmann, Janna Rankin, Anna Kirkpatrick, Ken Kirkpatrick, Tracy Delamater, Paul Merrill, and Andrea Weikert.
We plan to hand off the torch to one of our partner organizations to take the lead in planning next year’s Earth Day Festival, but TVCR will be helping out in helping make this event an annual Teton Valley Tradition.
