In an effort to increase waste diversion in our community, Teton Valley Community Recycling is reaching out to local businesses to see if we can help find solutions to make waste reduction and recycling more effective at your business.
RAD Curbside has generously loaned two paper recycling roll carts to the Driggs Post Office to help postal staff better manage the overflowing junk mail, most of which was ending up in the landfill. We hope that by improving the convenience of mixed paper recycling, Driggs postal patrons will take the time to put any recyclable paper (which includes newspaper, junk mail, magazines, catalogs, phone books, etc.) into the mixed paper recycling cans rather than the trash. USPS staff then sends all of this recyclable paper to a processing facility in Twin Falls rather than sending it to the landfill.
Please do your part to make this initiative successful by not contaminating the post office recycling with plastic, food, or trash of any kind. And say thanks to the post office employees who service the cans.
Better yet, save your time and resources by taking five minutes today to get your name off unwanted catalog lists by visiting catalogchoice.org and opt out of credit card offers by calling 1-888-567-8688.
Thank you, RAD Curbside for helping support the Driggs Post Office!
