The weather is finally warming up and it’s time to put the skis away and do some spring cleaning! As you clean out your garden shed, garage, or basement, please keep in mind three important avenues for disposing of unwanted items:
1.) Any extra tools (hand, power, garden, etc.) in good condition would be welcomed by the new Tool Lending Library at the Valley of the Tetons Library in Victor scheduled to open on June 1. Deliver your donations directly to the Victor Library circulation desk.
2.) Toys, clothes, clutter in good condition can go to the See ‘n Save Thrift Store in Driggs which supports our local hospital; or give it away online through TVCR’s Facebook page Teton Valley Free Swap Site.
3.) Collect any chemicals, oil based paints, pesticides, etc. to deliver to our first ever Household Hazardous Waste Collection (HHW) on May 19 from 8-noon at the Transfer Station, FREE thanks to Friends of the Teton River and revenue from the Recycling Center. (We will post a list of acceptable items on Facebook and our website May 1st.)
Thank you for keeping these items out of the landfill and focusing on reusing!
