Emily moved from the Adirondacks in Upstate New York to Teton Valley in July 2015 and quickly settled down roots in her Cabin in the Woods on Grove Creek in Victor. Prior to her move, she worked as Community Educator in Horticulture and ran the Master Gardener Program at Cornell Cooperative Extension in Essex County, New York. She also served on a variety of non profit boards including the Keene Valley Neighborhood House (assisted living facility), the Elizabethtown Community Hospital, and the Adirondack Medical Center as the board chair.

Emily continues to enjoy being a member of the WHALES (Women Hikers and Literary Epicureans), our local chapter of Great Old Broads for Wilderness, “…a national grassroots organization that engages and ignites the activism of elders to preserve and protect wilderness and wild lands…for future generations.”
